Our story
We are two web developers. For the past twenty-plus years we have built websites for small and medium businesses, first working with clients directly, then alongside the account managers who took over as our team grew.
The moment that started StellaJourney was a cancellation. A new client received onboarding emails from two separate people on our customer experience team within the same week. They cancelled, and the reason they gave stuck with us: "You feel unorganised. How can we trust you with our project?"
When we sat down to debrief, the wider problem came out. Our account managers were quietly drowning: clients being chased twice, files getting lost, onboarding steps falling between people. Everyone was trying their best inside email threads, shared drives and a project tracker that was never built for clients.
We looked for a tool. We tried plenty. Nothing did the simple thing we actually needed: structured onboarding and client task management that the client could actually see. So we built it ourselves, because as the people who lived this exact problem, with twenty years of experience shipping software, we were the right people to build it.
